MediaText Studio is a native macOS app for professional subtitle and timed-text workflows. The app is designed to keep production media, subtitle files and project files in local Mac workflows.

MediaText Studio is part of Studio 1979. This policy explains how Studio 1979 handles data in the app, on this website and through support.

1. Who operates MediaText Studio

MediaText Studio is a product of Studio 1979. References to "we", "us" and "our" in this policy mean Studio 1979. The Studio 1979 website is www.studio1979.nl.

2. App data and production media

MediaText Studio is designed as an offline Mac app. Your video files, audio files, subtitle files, caption files, review documents and project files remain on your Mac or in storage locations you choose.

  • The app does not upload production media for processing.
  • The app does not send subtitle, caption or project contents to Studio 1979 servers.
  • The app does not use automated model processing, speech recognition services or remote transcription services.
  • The app does not require a MediaText Studio account for the core Mac workflow.

3. Data we may receive from you

We may receive personal information when you choose to contact us, for example by email. This can include your name, email address, company, role, support request, bug report, workflow feedback or files you intentionally attach.

Do not send confidential production media unless you are allowed to share it. For support, a short description or synthetic test file is often enough.

4. Website data

The MediaText Studio website is a static website. We do not use advertising trackers or marketing analytics on the site. Standard hosting logs may record technical information such as IP address, requested URL, browser user agent and timestamp for security, troubleshooting and site operation.

5. App Store purchase data

MediaText Studio is distributed through the Mac App Store. Purchases, refunds, taxes, invoices and Apple ID account details are handled by Apple. We do not receive your full Apple ID payment details.

6. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell personal information. We do not share app production files with advertising networks or analytics providers. Limited service providers may process data only where needed to run the website, email, hosting, App Store distribution or support communication.

7. Retention and deletion

Support emails and related attachments are retained only as long as needed for support, product improvement, legal compliance or business records. You can ask us to delete personal information from support communication where we are legally able to do so.
